1. Brief Introduction

TWS is short for True Wireless Stereo. TWS earphones do not have the traditional physical wire, the left and right two earphones through the Bluetooth to form a stereo system. The earphones are powered by lithium batteries, which need to be placed in the charging compartment for charging after a period of wear. Therefore, the charging compartment needs a solution that can manage the charging process between the external power supply, the charging compartment battery and the headphone battery.

2. Function Description

The GD32E230G-TWS board is a power management development platform that uses the GigaDevice GD32E230G8U6 chip with Cortex®-M23 core as the main control MCU and communicates with the power management chip PMU (GD30WS8805) via I2C interface to complete the charge and discharge management of a single lithium battery. The platform uses Micro USB to provide charging power for the system. In addition, peripheral resources such as GD-Link, SWD, UART and Reset are also provided. This document provides detailed hardware schematics and related applications.
